What is Streaming Video?

Streaming Video is a new technology that allows video files to be viewed while they are being downloaded! This removes the lengthy wait associated with large video files. To accomplish this, the file is encoded or compressed and does result in loss of picture quality. Click here to try the demo

FAQs

Why Would an Employer Take the Time to Play my Video Resume?

IT'S EASY! Our high tech streaming video allows an employer to view your presentation within seconds!

IT'S INNOVATIVE! When an employer receives dozens or hundreds of resumes and one contains a video presentation option, that file is immediately singled out and earmarked as advanced and impressive!

IT'S TOO GOOD TO PASS UP! How can an employer resist the chance to see someone before granting them an interview? It's like seeing a picture of a potential blind date!

Why should I use a Video CV?

In thousands of meetings with hiring authorities, we have never seen a VCR on an employer's desk. We do, today, see PCs and internet connections on virtually every one. The key is in convenience. The employer needs do nothing more than type in the URL and access your file.

Am I just reading my resume?

Absolutely not! In fact, we strongly advise against it. The purpose of a video is to allow an employer the opportunity to view your presentation skills. Statistics show this factor may account for 40% to 80% of the decision-making criteria. Use the video to demonstrate your ability to communicate and describe your strengths, accomplishments and goals.

Video Presentation Tips
  • Sit up straight.
  • Look into the camera, but do not stare.
  • Show active enthusiasm and be positive.
  • Never discuss your dislikes or demands.
  • Speak clearly and confidently.
  • Fidgeting and hesitating make you look ill at ease. Relax and be yourself!
  • Pay attention to your voice, diction and grammar.
  • Maintain a pattern or logical flow. Limit yourself to brief and concise presentations.
  • Do not read from a script. Use visual aids if appropriate.
  • Smile at least once.
